A tiger says "ROAR"!!!

So this year's Halloween didn't turn out as we expected. Nick kindly shared his germs from a recent virus with both Mommy & Daddy. The little guy bounced back fairly quickly. Mommy & Daddy - not so much. Sadly we had zero energy to do much decorating, pumpkin carving, etc. Thank God I bought Nick's Halloween costume early, else he might have been going out dressed as... a toddler. The weather was also kind to us so that bringing Nick to the Halloween Festival didn't have an adverse affect on Daddy's illness (at least we hope so!!)

On Friday, Nick's day care did a Halloween Parade. So we headed over there in the afternoon to get him suited up & ready. Unfortunately, Kevin didn't make it until just the end of the parade, so we have no pictures of the parade itself (as a certain two & a half year old INSISTED that I walk with him in the parade).

Here he is in his classroom getting ready to go.

A rear view of some tiger booty...

Nick waiting for Daddy to go to the Halloween Festival. He was very annoyed with me and did NOT want his picture taken.

This is how a tiger rolls...

Nick's attempt at being a scary tiger.

The Halloween Festival was over at Wilson Park here in Torrance where they have a bunch of baseball fields. So in an attempt at burning off energy without having to burn energy himself, Kevin sent Nick off to the fields.

A tiger running the bases.

I stayed home and manned the door for Trick-or-Treaters. Last year we had ONE set of ToT'ers. So we only bought two bags (and nearly only had one, the second was a "just in case" bag). As Murphy's Law would dictate, this year we had a ton. I was up & down at least 10 times (which was annoying given the fact that jogging through the house to get to the front door caused me fits of coughing...) We ran through the two bags FAST and then dipped into a stash of dark chocolate Hershey kisses that we had left over from Easter (yea, we don't eat a lot of candy around here). Once Kevin & Nick got home, I shut off the front lights - good thing, too, or else we would have been one of those houses that gave away pennies or something!!
