A Day at the Torrance Farmer's Market

Where, oh where do you take a fruit-addicted kid for a late morning breakfast? Why the Farmer's Market, of course! Mommy, Daddy, Nick & Grandma T. hit the Torrance Farmer's Market on Saturday morning - we were all very pleased with what we found. Lots of great produce - including, much to Nick's joy, a ton of fruit. Nick was willing without hesitation to sample any and all fruit offered to him. He even inspects it a bit, just to make sure it's up to snuff

Here he is - a strawberry in one hand and a plum in the other (or was it a peach? Who knows - he ate a ton of both!)

He also likes to make suggestions as to which ones to buy. He does this by holding up what he's eating and stating (with his mouth full, of course) 'More!' I really think he ate more than we bought. And we bought a LOT.

After the morning at the Farmer's Market, lunch at a local Mexican food restaurant, off we went to the beach. I mean, you can't live in So. Cal. without hitting the beach. We found some swings at Hermosa Beach. (Nick was also relieved to find a rock, which he held in his hand for much of the afternoon)

The swing was elevated quite high over the sand, which was weird for Nick - he wanted to dangle his feet in the sand.

After the beach we found this small aquarium that had a tour in the back. Nick got to splash in the touch tanks that held sea cucumbers, starfish and all sorts of other cool marine life. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday!!
