Hangin' with Grandma T.

Grandma T. was kind enough to come down to SF for a week or so while Kevin was off in LA-LA-Land for work. Here she is winning Nick over by reading books to him - she even bought a couple of new ones for him. He's been obsessed with books lately and that's OK with us!!

Running the bases Part Deux - Father's Day!!

It just so happens that we had the tickets to the Giants game for Father's Day this year - I suppose we should just make it tradition. Mother's Day & Father's Day both spent at the Park. So, as they did with the Mom's, the Park let the Dads run the bases with their kids. Nick's nap was a short one that day, so he was a little unstable on his little feet, but he stuck it out and made it around with Daddy just fine.

Lou Seal may have already called it a day before we got on the field - the line was very long!

It was rather annoying - the game was one of the Bay Bridge series games so there were a ton of A's fans there. They really should only let Giants fans run the bases (I think I'm just a bit bitter because the A's swept the series from the Giants - sigh).

As they came home Nick & Kevin saw me - Kevin clearly knows how to play to the camera. Nick could care less - way too many other things to look at.

I think Kevin secretly wanted Nick to slide into home plate, but, alas, too many people in the way.

As we were heading out of the park, the ushers were handing out See's Candies chocolate suckers to the kids. Lucky for Kevin, the usher who was to hand us Nick's saw that Nick was too little to eat a sucker (although I'd bet Nick would argue that point), so she gave it to Kevin instead.

Our Little Sentry

We could give him a rifle and he could pick off the passersby. Ha - no, just kidding, but boy can he point out the buses and doggies that go by! He loves to hang out in the corner of the couch and look down on the street to see everything. He'll point out things - sometimes with the right word, sometimes with a word where only he knows the definition. Now if we could just get him to stop dropping things behind the couch. Who knows what will be found back there - Cheerios, graham crackers, blueberries, cherries... oh yeah, and toys too. Possibly my glasses case, I haven't seen that in a while...

The Anywhere Chair

Those that have children of around this age will know the PRESSURE of getting this chair for your kid. Do you have to have it? No. Will your kid even know if they don't have one? Of course not.

But Mommy will. Damn you Pottery Barn Kids.

We said we wouldn't get him a cell phone...

But we couldn't help it - he just about threw himself out the window trying get his hands on Kevin's phone. (It could be mentioned here that SOMEONE actually let Nick PLAY with said phone and therefore sparked the hysteria, but it will be left unsaid.) So we pulled the battery out of an old one and there you go. He actually opens it, puts it to his ear and says something. What, we don't know, but he's talking to somebody...

Spaghetti. It's what's for dinner.

There isn't a whole lot of commentary that can be added to this video. So... enjoy.
